Earthquake Survivors Tale – Photostory

Despite surviving the quake, many families in the remotest place has been left homeless. With no roof over their heads, they are traumatised not knowing from where and moreover ‘HOW’ to rebuild their lives and homes again. The pain inflicted in their weary eyes says it all. With monsoon approaching soon this is the story of all the people where very limited aid has reached due to inaccessibility of transportations since we were struck on 25 April and 12 May 2015. So to make a difference we initiated a Relief Aid Fund Raising Campaign to distribute rice, clothes, corrugated roof sheets to locals affected by the massive quake in Kavre and Sindhupalchowk. Through our campaign we were able to support nearly 400 families who had come to collect after hiking for hours uphill and downhill. Their ‘resilience’ and ‘hope’ heals our broken hearts and witnessing them ‘smile’ against all odds gives us courage that the people and our country can fight back.
