We did such an incredible variety of things. I got a wonderful taste for different kinds of ministries.
Life since the earthquakes is stable but unpromising for many that we met. Not that all of Nepal was flattened, but several old buildings were knocked down and some villages were particularly devastated. One man in the damaged village of Sankhu told me how his family’s house was no longer safe to live in. I asked if he had plans to move forward; he had no plans and very little hope, since he couldn’t possibly afford a new house.
We were invited to help build homes for people displaced by the earthquake, so we quickly hopped on board. Using supplies donated to us, we assembled “kid’s packs” to distribute in villages and tent cities near Kathmandu. We also had a donated budget…
