Such was the claim of a ten years old who had newly acquired interest in cricket and found gravely seeing his father holding the newspaper when India lost a crucial One Day International Match and there was big Newspaper column about what went wrong and who were the responsible people. Sri Jagmohan Dalmiya’s name was inevitably marked among the first two or three scapegoats behind the loss. It was a household name of Indian Cricket……………….if people took Kumble, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Azharuddin’s name 5 times then Dalmiya’s name would have been taken 10 times in the same discussion………..I swear am not exaggerating a bit. And like that 10 years old we also heard our guardians and seniors taking several times blaming Dalmiya when India lost match as well as praising Dalmiya when India won and for other advancement in cricket . Such was his involvement with the game. He lived in cricket , he died in cricket. A great administrator a visionary leader above all a great human being. My heartfelt condolence to his family and his followers. I believe his blessings will be with us forever.
