Jesse Tam was fortunate to have the opportunity to see these UNESCO Heritage sites and  experience the kindness of the Nepalese people.  It was February, leaving Seattle International airport to Kathmandu on a long journey to promote joint rotary club ideas. The warm hospitality attending several  Rotary meetings and visiting service projects in the region.  Seattle and Nepal partnering with local hospital, health care and education. The heart-felt people sharing a diverse culture.

Nepal is a small country between India and China with centuries of history and culture high in the Himalayas. Kathmandu is the most important industrial and commercial center in Nepal. Swayambhunath Stupa, explore one of the oldest parts of the city, Durbar Square, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.  Witness daily rituals at the holy sites and learn about Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Explore Kathmandu or be adventurous and scale the Himalaya mountains.
